Complete the application, pay the enrollment fee, build your first schedule, then download the SecureCheck app from the App Store or Google Play. During monitoring, stay in your permitted zones, answer verification calls, and complete check-ins on your phone. Shadowtrack reports compliance automatically to whoever oversees your case.
What is Shadowtrack SecureCheck?
SecureCheck is Shadowtrack's smartphone app for court-ordered house arrest and electronic monitoring. It verifies your identity and location through scheduled and random check-ins using biometric verification on your own phone, with no ankle bracelet for most programs. It is used by individuals ordered by a court, as well as by attorneys and agencies who refer enrollees into the program.
Can I do court-ordered monitoring on my own phone?
Yes. Shadowtrack's SecureCheck app lets you serve court-ordered monitoring on your own smartphone using biometric verification, with no ankle monitor or extra hardware for most programs. The app is available on the App Store and Google Play.
How do smartphone check-ins work?
After enrolling, you receive scheduled and random check-in requests on your phone. Each check-in verifies your identity against your GPS location with biometric verification. Completed check-ins are reported automatically to whoever oversees your case, such as the court, your attorney, or a supervising officer.
How do I enroll in Shadowtrack monitoring?
First, fully complete the enrollment application in the Ready to Enroll section near the top of this page and make your payment. Then fill out your information and completely build out your first schedule. You receive the link to download the SecureCheck app after submitting your enrollment application, and the download links are also available on this page. After that, you can change your schedules directly through the app. During monitoring, stay inside your permitted zones during your permitted time frames and make sure you answer your verification calls.
Does Shadowtrack support court-ordered alcohol testing?
Yes. ShadowBriety pairs the app with a BACtrack mobile breathalyzer (sold separately) to deliver court-admissible breath tests. Photo verification confirms who took each test, and results report automatically.
Can monitoring be arranged before my hearing?
Yes. Most of the time it is your attorney who handles this, but others involved in your case can as well. There are two options. The referral form is used by attorneys, courts, and agencies to refer someone into the program and designate who receives compliance notifications. A pre-approval letter can also be requested, which confirms eligibility before a hearing and gives you a letter to present to the court showing that monitoring is already arranged.
What happens when my monitoring term is finished?
When you complete your term, Shadowtrack issues a completion letter documenting your compliance history, which you or your attorney can provide to the court.
